Avast! Free Antivirus

November 27, 2015 - Avast (The Free Antivirus) is currently being installed on every computer unit at CED Library.

You can download the antivirus at this url: www.avast.com

Cases of virus and corrupted files have become rampant this week. The College of Education (CED) Library computer units are no exemption to this issue. Being publicly used by library patrons, the risk of virus infection on the computer units is high. Possible culprit for this matter is that students might have attached an infected external hard drive or flash drive on the computer units. An automatic scan on these drives takes place after the user attach a flash drive to the unit, however, not all viruses and/or malwares are being detected by the installed scanner. Some malwares are able to penetrate and install themselves on the computer system.

College of Education Renovation Report

On May 15, 2017, the College of Education Library opens its door to library patrons with its new arrangement. Most of them bring in food and drinks which are prohibited to avoid pests and insects inhabiting the library. This problem also adds inconvenience to the library staff and the scheduled cleaners because most students leave their ...

The Library Usage Log Once you enter the one of the libraries of MSU-IIT, our library staff reminds you to register your ID Number at the Online Library Usage Log. Importance of the Library Usage Log Quantitative and qualitative data about library services, library use and library users are essential for revealing and confirming the outstanding value that libraries provide.   As the informative value of such statistics depends on their comprehensiveness and speed, the participation of all libraries in the country will be necessary. Library statistics are necessary for the effective management of libraries, but they are still more important for promoting library services to the different types of stakeholders: policy makers and funders, library managers and staff, actual and potential users, the media and the general public. Where statistics are aimed at policy makers, managers and funders, they are essential for decisions on levels of service and future strat...
